LOVE Birthdays!!! A GREAT reason to make a cake! :)
This is my go-to chocolate cake recipe. It's the first time I decorated with vanilla frosting. And this frosting tasted great! I saved the extra to eat with...well, whatever will be good with frosting? My cake writing skills need some work, but the cake itself = YUMMMMMYYYYYY! and Oreos make everything better :)
Cake + frosting (before I spread it)
Spread the SCRUMPTIOUS chocolate oreo frosting. Yes, I included crushed up oreos in this frosting recipe!
Happy Birthday!
Way better than store-bought :)

Chocolate Chip and Jam Thumbprint Cookies!
Made these to bring into work :) I hadn't made a classic chocolate chip cookie in awhile, and these were nice and soft! I had a few requests for non-chocolate things (which I don't make unless someone wants...because I'm a choco-holic) so I made the thumbprints! I haven't made them for a few years so it was fun to make them again! And even though I'm a chocolate lover, I think the thumbprints were delicious! :-D

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Stuff Cookies
Do you like peanut butter? chocolate? oatmeal? soft flavorful cookies?
Then this is the cookies for you!
Around Easter time, I felt like making a unique cookie. In my room I had a bag of peanut butter cups, a bag of butterfinger eggs (aka Easter themed butterfingers), and ~ 1/4 of a bag of peanut m&ms. I love oatmeal cookie as a base. And that's how this cookie got started.
chock-full of peanut butter and chocolate flavor, these soft oatmeal cookies have crushed up peanut butter cups, butterfinger eggs, and the rest of that bag of peanut m&ms in them. When I first mixed it all together, I thought I might have too much "stuff" and not enough "dough." But after I baked the first batch, I knew there was no mistake.
These are the best cookie ever. Perfect for any and all peanut butter and chocolate lovers.

Homemade Peanut Butter Cups!
Once you have these, you'll never buy Reese's again!!
I first made these for my brother's 16th birthday! Since I was in DC, and he was in MA, I knew I had to make something that could be shipped. Made these, sent him half, and kept half for me and my old roommate (and best friend in the whole world <3 you). A few special other people got to try them too :) Will definitely make again!!
hint: there is not only peanut butter in the center, but also peanut butter mixed in with the chocolate!!

Rice Krispie Treats!
So basic, so simple, yet so tasty!
I made this particular batch for my dear friend on her birthday!
I've also made them as a peanut butter version! Unfortunately I didn't take pics, but I definitely will the next time I make them!

Apple Pie!
Alright, I am definitely going out of order in my posts here, but I couldn't leave this out!
This is the apple pie I made for Thanksgiving this year at my family's Thanksgiving dinner. It has no filler (like tapioca or anything like that), which makes for a fresh, appley pie in a flaky homemade crust.
Make it every Fall, at least for Thanksgiving! I can made it anytime though!
I also made it this year for the RHA "Thanksgiving Dinner Meeting!" :)

Oatmeal Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies
muffins with blueberries!
I made these a few days after I made the apple ones! The apple muffins were so popular and I wanted more of them just as much as the rest of my sorority sisters! So, I made them again, but this time I added blueberries!!

Time for something healthy: fat-free whole wheat and bran muffins
So I bought a box of bran flakes once, because I thought "hey these are healthy, I'll eat them for breakfast." Well, there was always something else that I wanted for breakfast, so the bran flakes never got opened. So I was trying to think: what could I do with them? OF COURSE! baked with them! googled some recipes and found the one that makes these! SO amazing! Don't be turned off by their healthy-ness: they are absolutely delicious and you would have absolutely NO idea that they are good for you! very moist!
The perfect, quick, healthy grab-n-go breakfast!
I made these for the first time during finals week. I lived with a bunch of girls in my sorority. For the week of finals, I had a different baked goodie outside my room every day! I did cookies and sweets like that of course, but since it was finals, I wanted to have something healthy too! And it's so important to eat breakfast, especially before a big exam!! So, these were PERFECT!
The first time I made them as...

I made them with blueberries a few days later! see the next post for those! :)
